Job summary

Ethereum Technologies is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to manage and optimize AWS, GAIA, and GKP infrastructure in a production environment. The role covers deployment automation, monitoring, incident response, and collaboration with DevOps and platform teams to ensure high availability and performance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS infrastructure and cloud services experience.
• Experience with GAIA and GKP infrastructure.
• Knowledge of infrastructure deployment, configuration, and environment management.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, logging, and telemetry implementation.
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or equivalent observability platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment tools.
• Strong troubleshooting across infrastructure, networking, and applications.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or Shell.
• Understanding of Linux/Unix, networking, DNS, load balancing, and security fundamentals.
• Knowledge of incident management, RCA, and production support processes.
• Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and fault-tolerant design.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure management: design, deploy, manage GAIA/GKP infrastructure for high availability and reliability.
• Deployments: build automated pipelines, manage releases, and handle rollbacks across environments.
• Monitoring: implement and maintain dashboards, alerts, and telemetry solutions.
• SRE practices: define SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs to improve reliability.
• Incident management: respond to incidents, diagnose issues, perform RCA, implement preventive measures.
• Automation: create scripts to reduce manual tasks and improve deployment efficiency.
• Performance & capacity: monitor utilization, identify bottlenecks, optimize capacity and costs.
• IaC: automate provisioning using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalents.
• Security & compliance: implement best practices, access controls, secrets management.
• Collaboration: work with development, DevOps, platform engineering, and operations teams.
• Documentation: keep runbooks, deployment procedures, architecture docs, and incident reports up to date.
