Job summary

Jobgether in the United States is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to design and maintain observability systems, define SLOs and error budgets, and support reliable backend services.

You will participate in a 24/7 P0 on-call rotation, troubleshoot incidents, optimize AWS-based infrastructure, and mentor teammates while contributing to technical strategy and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain comprehensive observability systems covering metrics, logs, traces, alerting, and monitoring.
• Define and maintain SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets to establish clear reliability standards for backend services.
• Participate in a 24/7 P0 on-call rotation with a 10-minute acknowledgment SLA and validate AI-generated incident reports.
• Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, lead postmortems, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain and improve production infrastructure using AWS services such as ALB, ECS/Fargate, RDS Aurora, Lambda, and IAM.
• Debug and optimize Python services in containers and serverless environments, focusing on availability, latency, and resource efficiency.
• Collaborate with development, security, platform, and operations teams to integrate reliability throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
• Mentor additional SRE engineers as the team grows and contribute to technical strategy, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
