The Harbor Light is seeking a Site Administrator for Substance Use Disorders in Detroit. This full-time leadership role oversees daily operations, staff supervision, and program delivery, ensuring services meet quality and budget targets.

You will lead strategic planning, monitor contracts, and coordinate with funding sources, while upholding mission statements and privacy requirements. A Master’s or Bachelor’s with equivalent experience, credentials, and several years of supervisory work are

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or Bachelor’s with equivalent experience required.
• Michigan substance abuse credentials required.
• At least four years of supervisory experience.
• Valid Michigan Chauffeur License and MVR approval.
• TB test, police clearance and MDOC LEIN clearance required.

Job Description

Position Summary:

Provide leadership, direction, and management to all employees of the site and oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations.

• Provide leadership in the development and implementation of a Strategic Plan that includes operational goals, objectives and evaluation
• Assure delivery of services in a cost-effective/efficient manner
• Develop and implement programs as planned
• Assist in preparing, implementing, and maintaining a budget
• Knowledge of existing contracts and their requirements
• Act as a liaison to all funding sources as necessary to assure provision of client services
• Represent The Harbor Light in community functions and/or committees, as necessary
• Submit all reports accurately and in a timely manner
• Serve as a member of the Quality Improvement Committee, Executive Administration, and other committees deemed necessary by the Executive Director
• Participate in educational courses, seminars, workshops, current literature, and in-service meetings to enhance treatment programming
• Provide for client safety, security, and services
• Monitor compliance of Harbor Light policies and procedures across all staff levels
• Oversee all maintenance and housekeeping activities
• Respond to all site emergencies, following the approved Policies and Procedures of The Harbor Light
• Maintain accurate documentation regarding supervised staff
• Verify and approve hours worked for employees and submit information to the payroll person in a timely manner
• Understand and work within The Salvation Army and Harbor Light Mission Statements.
• Possess an excellent working knowledge of The Harbor Light Policies and Procedures
• Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
• HIPAA - Level 1 access to Clinical Records

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• A Master’s degree in health/human services, business management, or public administration or Bachelor’s Degree with equivalent experience
• Appropriate State of Michigan substance abuse credentials
• At least four (4) years of successful supervisory experience
• Valid Michigan Chauffeur License and approved by The Salvation Army MVR
• T.B. test, police clearance, and MDOC LEIN clearance required

• Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed

Paid Time Off

• You will receive (1) personal day this year, and (2) personal days per calendar year thereafter.
• Paid holidays are effective immediately.
