Job summary

Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company, seeks a Site Manager for the Dry Mix Concrete facility in Fredonia, PA. You will oversee a fast-paced manufacturing site, lead a skilled team, and drive safety, quality, efficiency, and bottom-line results.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of plant management experience in a similar industry, plus experience with automated high-speed production. You will manage capital projects, optimize operations, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years as a plant manager in a similar industry or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience managing automated, high-speed manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to review and discuss results of production reports and financial statements.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellence through the 5 plant fundamentals: safety, housekeeping, preventive maintenance, productivity, and quality.
• Manage controllable expenses to meet financial goals.
• Drive continuous improvement and a culture of excellence across functions and roles.
• Share best practices across sites and learn from others.
• Expand capability and efficiency of manufacturing operations.
• Ensure BOM accuracy and manufacture within cost and quality commitments.
• Oversee yard organization, inventory rotation, and disposal of excess inventory.
• Coordinate with EH&S Manager on compliance with regulations.
• Spend at least 60% of time on the floor interacting with teams.
• Ensure internal control guidelines are followed at the site.
• Develop, plan, and execute capital project requests.
• Utilize KPIs to measure progress with daily reports and dashboards.
• Implement OPS initiatives and promote best practices.
• Recruit, develop, and mentor a strong site staff.
• Direct the work of direct reports and align with goals.
• Develop training programs for employee engagement.
• Use standardized interviews and skills matrices for hiring.
• Ensure production of top-quality products meeting delivery expectations.
• Develop technical knowledge of site processes.
