Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Long Beach, CA, seeks an Engineering Site Manager - Controllable Solid Propulsion to lead a team of about 20 engineers and to oversee design, development and testing of solid rocket motor systems. The role blends management with current program responsibilities within the Strategic Systems line of business.

You will work with chief engineers, systems engineers and program managers, supervise staffing, ensure adherence to engineering standards, and coordinate DoD contracts

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Systems Engineering or related technical discipline; 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing high performing technical teams.
• Hands-on experience with design, development, testing or manufacturing of controllable solid propulsion systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, technical execution, and project engineering of solid propulsion systems for rocket motors.
• Serve as Engineering Site Manager for a ~20 engineer team and manage site leadership, culture and staffing.
• Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, timekeeping, and program objectives with DoD contracts.
• Collaborate with chief engineers, systems engineering and program managers across Projects and MBSE workflows.
