Job summary

C&W Services is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager to oversee on-site maintenance operations, ensuring reliability of engineering assets and adherence to safety standards. You will report to the Maintenance Manager or Regional Maintenance Manager and drive performance across the site.

Responsibilities include leading preventive maintenance, managing a team of technicians, and coordinating with operations and client teams to meet safety, efficiency, and uptime goals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a management role overseeing maintenance teams and multi-site operations, with strong leadership and safety commitment.
• Proficient in preventive/predictive maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment to established standards.
• Ability to work all shifts, including holidays and weekends, as required by operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Safety Leadership: champion a safety-first culture, ensure safety training completion, run safety audits, monitor safety metrics and incident resolution.
• Operational Excellence: lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime, monitor KPIs and SIM tickets.
• Leadership and Team Development: supervise and coach maintenance technicians, hold regular 1:1s and team huddles, identify high-potential employees for development.
• Collaboration and Client Support: act as on-site contact for maintenance issues, participate in daily site meetings, propose improvements to enhance performance.
• Administrative Oversight: ensure training compliance, manage data in CMMS, support inventory health, warranty claims and budget alignment.
