Job summary

Vertiv seeks a Site Leader in the Columbus, OH area to drive startup, commissioning, test and inspection services for large, high-profile customer projects in the Switchgear and Busbar business. The role serves as the primary Vertiv Service representative from factory testing through site completion, building strong rapport with customers, co-workers, and sales teams.

The position requires coordinating start-up, site testing, and documentation, while ensuring safety, schedule and budget targets

Qualifications

• Graduate of applicable Electrical Technical School or Military equivalent (min 6 years exp)
• High school education or equivalent
• Construction management experience a plus
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical contracting and plant infrastructure
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Represent Busbar Service at customer and contractor meetings assigned by Area Supervisor
• Use standard Project Management tools to meet quality, financial and schedule targets
• Coordinate start-up, commissioning, inspection and site testing activities
• Review scope of work and customer procedures and train personnel on those procedures
• Define and manage manpower needs for the job
• Provide daily status reports to Service management and customer
• Lead and coordinate site activities and provide on-site direction to associates
