Job summary

Vertiv in the United States seeks a Field Supervisor to lead a team delivering start-up, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical switchgear up to 15kV, with emphasis on safety, customer relations, and project leadership.

The role requires extensive field experience, strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA standards, and the ability to manage multiple sites, report progress, and train technicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate of applicable Electrical Technical School or Military equivalent and nine years minimum same or similar work experience
• OR High school education or equivalent and ten years minimum same or similar work experience
• Working knowledge of Electrical Power Distribution, Generators, Switchgear, ATS, et al.
• Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code and OSHA/NFPA standards
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and blueprints
• Excellent communication and leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train and assist field service technicians in the area
• Perform complex troubleshooting, tests, inspections and appraisals on electrical systems
• Lead large projects requiring specialized skills such as commissioning and power surveys
• Prepare job estimates, proposals, scheduling and billing
• Provide timely and accurate project reports and documentation
• Maintain customer satisfaction and professional client interfaces
