Job summary

APSI in New London, CT is seeking a Site Lead to act as the primary front-line security officer responsible for emergencies using established tactics and procedures within tight time constraints.

You will supervise Security Guard II personnel, handle administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll, and records, ensure contract compliance, training certifications, and safety procedures across the site, including access control for government facilities.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Experience: minimum 1 year armed security, military police or law enforcement.
• Licenses: State Armed Security Guard license required and fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies per procedures and direct guard response.
• Visit and inspect guard posts at shift start and document findings.
• Generate timely, accurate reports including payroll data and training records.
• Coordinate with management on staffing, scheduling, and HR compliance.
• Ensure access control and safety procedures on site.
