Job summary

Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland is seeking a coordinator to supervise volunteers, oversee meal deliveries, and maintain site relationships. You will train volunteers, manage schedules, recruit new helpers, and ensure client concerns are reported via Mobile Meals.

The role requires strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while promoting a culture of service and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience supervising others or coordinating activities.
• Experience working with volunteers desirable.
• Food service experience desirable.
• Current driver's license with a dependable licensed and insured vehicle.
• Able to pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Receive meals from Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland and ensure quantities and conditions are reported.
• Maintain relations with site owners and address issues affecting site usage.
• Oversee delivery of meals to clients and report discrepancies to the Director of Food Services.
• Provide training to new volunteers and manage volunteer schedules and coverage.
• Recruit volunteers as needed and coordinate recruitment with the Volunteer Department.
• Work with volunteers to identify and report client concerns in Mobile Meals.
• Conduct outreach to recruit additional clients and inform the community about volunteer opportunities.
