Job summary

Meals on Wheels People in Luepke - Vancouver, WA 98663 is seeking an On-Call role to ensure on-time meal delivery to home-bound participants, coordinate daily volunteer drivers, and maintain accurate route books. You will support participant care, reassessments, and data management, contributing to our community-based programs.

The role emphasizes collaboration with site staff, training of volunteers, and adherence to nonprofit standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Food Handler’s Certification or ability to obtain within two weeks from the date of hire.
• Current ServSafe certification or ability to obtain one within 18 months of hire.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation required.
• CPR certified or ability to obtain within 18 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure on-time delivery of meals to home-bound participants following Meals on Wheels People standards.
• Schedule volunteer drivers daily and maintain accurate route books.
• Follow up with participants if a driver is unable to deliver a meal.
• Manage participant care, including reassessments, change tracking, and record maintenance.
• Assist Site Manager in responsive hunger relief services, including supplemental meals, partnerships, contracts, ethnic meals, and programming for isolation.
• Aid in screening, registration, and training of volunteers.
• Maintain and update client and volunteer information in data management systems.
• Complete assigned administrative tasks.
• Support Meals on Wheels People events and fundraising initiatives.
• Participate in in-service training and required meetings.
• Uphold mission, vision, values, and strategic plan of Meals on Wheels People, Inc.
• Perform other assigned duties.
