Job summary

The County of El Dorado Health and Human Services Agency is seeking a Mealsite Coordinator to oversee meal service at a senior center, coordinating with staff and volunteers to ensure smooth daily operations.

The role supports the Senior Nutrition program, delivering hot lunches to seniors, driving a County vehicle when needed, and maintaining registrations and payments. Ideal candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, and community-focused.

Qualifications

• One year food service experience or six months coordinating a service delivery program.
• Must regularly lift food containers weighing up to thirty pounds.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain and maintain, a California or Nevada Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with center staff to coordinate the food service program with other activities.
• Ensure that food service meets health and program standards.
• Prepare, clean and set up table areas for meal service and operate steam table.
• Coordinate the work of, assign, and train volunteers and part-time staff in meal service methods.
• Act as host/hostess, handle client registration and collect voluntary payments.
• Assist in actual food service and may relieve in kitchen for meal preparation and/or cleanup.
