Job summary

Community Action Team is seeking a Home Delivered Meal Coordinator to support the Meals on Wheels program. You will coordinate volunteers, manage daily schedules, and ensure clients receive meals and care.

The role requires strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills, with a part-time schedule of about 18 hours per week and a pay rate of $15.55/hour. Join CAT to make a tangible difference in the community.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with clients, volunteers, families, and staff.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification required or willing to obtain within 6 months.
• Strong customer service and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping skills.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Ability to follow program policies and work cooperatively with a team.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls from agencies, volunteers, staff, and clients; share daily meal updates
• Make follow-up calls to clients, families, case managers, or emergency contacts
• Assign new clients to routes and maintain client records
• Enter data and update spreadsheets, labels, and meal counts
• Adjust routes/schedules and prepare daily meal labels
• Assist kitchen staff with meal prep, dishwashing, or deliveries as needed
• Maintain route binders, maps, and volunteer schedules
• Supervise volunteers who clean and sanitize delivery bags
• Train volunteers; assist with background checks and coordinate substitutes
• Track donations and submit to the CAT office
• Send and receive emails, including encrypted communications
• Other duties as assigned

Schedule

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday — 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  Part‑time | Approx. 18 hours/week (includes a 30‑minute lunch)

Pay Rate

$15.55 per hour
