Job summary

HITT Contracting is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Assistant Superintendent to support scheduling, safety, and coordination on mission-critical projects. You will manage daily site activities, ensure quality and safety compliance, and drive collaboration with subcontractors and the project team.

Requirements include 2–5 years in commercial construction, a high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred), OSHA 30, and proficiency in ProCore, MS Office, and BlueBeam.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; a 4-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
• 2–5 years’ experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Tenant renovations, service work, work in occupied spaces, weekend work, fast-paced project experience are a plus.
• Project lead experience is a plus.
• Must be able to use sector/project software: MS Office, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam.
• OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
• Must be able to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong written/verbal communication and ability to work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the project manager to formulate the project schedule and ensure installation methods follow the plan.
• Maintain HITT quality standards across all aspects of the project.
• Foster good relationships with subcontractors and community to support opportunities.
• Produce accurate daily documentation of work orders and identify early problems to provide solutions.
• Organize site team logistics and arrange temporary facilities and utilities, identify long-lead items.
