Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. seeks an Assistant Superintendent to coordinate on-site activities, ensuring work is done safely, on schedule, and within budget. You will direct Ryan employees and subcontractors, interpret blueprints, and manage day-to-day site operations.

You will track CPM schedules, assist with procurement, and enforce safety and quality controls, solving issues as they arise while maintaining productive collaboration with project teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
• Successful completion of union-required training programs, or equivalent.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Valid documentation.
• Show leadership skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions.
• Remain calm during stressful situations and work through challenges.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the work of Ryan employees and subcontractors to complete projects on time and on budget.
• Administer project safety per Ryan safety policies and develop a site-specific Job Safety/Hazard Analysis.
• Manage subcontractors in their performance of work.
• Develop and understand a CPM schedule and track it.
• Understand the project budget and work within your portion of it.
• Read and comprehend blueprints, plans and specs to guide project personnel.
• Assist with material procurement.
• Work efficiently and independently.
• Enforce the Project Safety Manual on site.
• Engage in Quality Control practices.
