Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. seeks a Superintendent to coordinate on-site activities, manage subs, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. You will enforce safety programs, supervise field personnel, and collaborate with project management and owners.

Strong reading of blueprints and budget oversight required. Responsibilities include developing CPM schedules, managing subcontractors, assisting with procurement and budget, and daily documentation.

Qualifications

• Post high school education or equivalent in the construction field.
• Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and subsequent random/post-accident testing.
• Documentation / file management.
• Must be able to remain calm during stressful situations and work through challenges or issues.
• Must be able to know when to ask for help when a job task exceeds their skills or abilities.
• Meeting management skills.
• Team player with team building skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and plans and specifications and give proper direction to project personnel.

Responsibilities

• Develop a site-specific safety program and administer project safety per Ryan safety policies and procedures.
• Manage subcontractors in the performance of their work per contract.
• Develop and understand a CPM computer-generated schedule and track that schedule.
• Assist in the development and review of the overall construction budget and manage the project within that budget.
• Assist with material procurement.
• Establish and monitor the Quality Control program for the project.
• Daily documentation and file and print management.
• Hold, prepare, and document required meetings.
