Job summary

Volt is hiring for a Site Inventory/Supply Chain Associate in Memphis, Tennessee. You will perform counts, maintain inventory levels, and report discrepancies according to policy.

You’ll coordinate with customer service and logistics, monitor deliveries, and ensure orders are complete. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in supply chain roles, strong analytical and communication skills, and familiarity with inventory management software.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain roles; problem solving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in high-demand roles managing multiple parts and high-volume rotations.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of administrative/clerical software and inventory management software is helpful.
  • High level of initiative and independence.

Responsibilities

Come create your career with Volt! Volt is immediately hiring for a Site Inventory/Supply Chain Associate in Memphis, Tennessee

Day to day responsibilities:
  • Perform counts and ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company policy
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet customer demand
  • Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventories
  • Assess inventory output on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to identify trends in productivity
  • Manage cycle counts of product inventories on a regular basis
  • Monitor delivery schedule and customer orders
  • Place and receive orders in a timely and accurate manner
  • Monitor that each order's delivery or shipment contains all items in the quantities identified in the shipping documentation
  • When deliveries do not contain the items/quantities specified in documentation, log claims/cases for the discrepancies in the appropriate tool
  • As swaps of installed equipment or components occur, track the old and new serial numbers in the appropriate asset/inventory management tool and how it impacts inventory
  • Maintain inventory in local secure storage facilities as specified by organization guidelines
  • File claims when defective products are discovered
  • Coordinate with customer service and logistics departments
  • Check date-sensitive products for expiration and facilitate removal or transfer of product as needed
  • Establish trusted relationships with partners and suppliers to ensure quality service and cost-effective deals
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 2+ years' experience in supply chain roles and organizations. Able to apply developed network for rapid and effective problem solving. Willing to train applicable skills.
  • Experience in a high demand role managing multiple parts and high-volume rotations.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • An understanding of administrative/clerical software and inventory management software is especially helpful
  • High level of initiative and independence
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Provide weekly reporting of on-hand, consumed and defective material
  • Maintain segregation of material.
  • Learn and become proficient on various pint on next Supply Chain tools and processes: Konnect, SFDC, SharePoint, Smart Stores
  • Open "cases" which allows the proper management and ordering of material

This is a full-time, Contract opportunity :: Shift: 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Pay rate*: $20.00/hr - $21.00/hr.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
