Job summary

Hatch is seeking a site-based Project Health and Safety Manager in Northwest Indiana to lead H&S programs across complex construction projects. You will drive no-harm safety performance, develop project health and safety plans, and mentor staff and contractors to uphold Hatch safety standards.

The role requires a strong track record in construction H&S, leadership, and the ability to coordinate with regional teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in health and safety on major construction projects.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead teams.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• BS Safety Management or related field preferred; CSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice on health and safety issues to achieve a no-harm goal.
• Promote safety as a value across projects and offices.
• Develop and implement safety policies and plans.
• Prepare project-specific Safety Management Plans.
• Lead safety training and competency development.
• Review and approve contractors’ safety plans before work starts.
• Lead incident investigations and reporting.
• Coordinate health and safety audits and corrective actions.
• Establish emergency response plans for offices and projects.
