Job summary

Hatch is seeking a Site Health and Safety Advisor to lead health and safety on major mining projects in Reno. You will develop and implement safety policies, manage risk assessments, and ensure alignment with Hatch's safety management system throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 10 years in health and safety with at least five years on-site experience on major construction projects.
• Experience working with MSHA regulations on USA mine sites.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Formal health and safety qualifications and active professional membership.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategies and problem solving to project personnel on health and safety to achieve no-harm goals.
• Promote a culture where health and safety is a value and never compromised.
• Develop and implement safety policies, management plans and standards aligned with Hatch systems.
• Lead hazard analyses and risk assessments across all project disciplines.
• Manage incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions.
• Coordinate safety training programs and audit the project health and safety setup.
• Prepare weekly health and safety leading indicator reports and statistics.
