Job summary

1st Precision Grading LLC in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a Laborer/Operator to perform hands-on grading and site-work on construction projects. You will operate skid steers, excavators, graders, and assist with material handling, all while ensuring safety and quality on active sites.

Ideal candidates have previous grading or site-work experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work outdoors in hot desert conditions. CDL is a plus; reliable transportation and punctuality are essential.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in grading, excavation, site work, or general construction preferred.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment or willingness to learn under supervision.
• Strong work ethic and ability to perform physical labor outdoors.
• Able to work in hot desert climates and demanding job sites.
• Reliable transportation and punctuality are a must.
• Ability to follow directions and work both independently and in a team.
• Valid driver's license preferred; CDL a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, excavators, compactors, and grading machinery
• Perform site preparation, rough and finish grading, excavation, and land clearing tasks
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials and equipment on job sites
• Follow project plans, grade stakes, and supervisor instructions to ensure accurate site work
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site in compliance with safety regulations
• Perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
• Support crew members with general labor tasks as needed throughout the project
