Job summary

Charah Solutions is seeking a site-based Heavy Equipment Operator to oversee frontline operations and handle material movement with excavating and grading equipment. The role requires strong adherence to safety and the ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of heavy equipment experience in construction, a valid driver's license, and familiarity with ash management and landfill-like environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience operating heavy equipment in construction or similar environments.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Production-focused experience preferred.
• Experience with GPS grading systems preferred.
• Knowledge of ash management, structural fills, and landfills preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and move materials using heavy construction equipment.
• Operate equipment with blades to grade and level terrain.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew signals.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain safety regulations and participate in safety programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
