Job summary

Charah Solutions, Inc. is seeking a heavy equipment operator to load and move materials such as ash, dirt, and rock using backhoes, loaders, dozers, and graders.

The role requires skillful operation, coordination with the crew, and adherence to safety standards in a construction setting. Candidates should have a minimum of three years’ experience operating heavy equipment and a valid driver’s license; GPS grading system experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years’ experience operating heavy equipment in a construction or similar environment.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience utilizing GPS grading systems (i.e. Trimble, Topcon) preferred.
• Knowledge of ash management, structural fills and landfills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and/or move various materials (ash, dirt, rock, etc.) using heavy construction equipment.
• Drive and maneuver equipment with blades in passes to distribute and level earth.
• Coordinate machine actions with crew signals and other activities.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine maintenance needs.
• Follow safety regulations and operate in a safe, efficient manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
