Placements24 is seeking a diligent Site Engineer to manage civil infrastructure projects in the Welkom area. The role focuses on supervising construction activities, interpreting drawings, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring timely milestone completion while upholding safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in a supervisory civil role, with strong site documentation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Requires National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Site Engineer or similar supervisory role on civil construction projects.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety procedures.
• Familiarity with surveying equipment and techniques.
• Strong contract administration and site documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure on site in Welkom.

Responsibilities

• Supervise civil engineering works on construction sites in and around Welkom.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accurate construction.
• Plan and schedule construction activities, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
• Monitor progress, quality of work, and resource utilization.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Conduct site surveys, setting out, and measurements as required.
• Resolve on-site technical issues promptly and effectively.
• Maintain accurate site records and attendance.
