Placements24 is seeking a proactive Project Engineer for a civil infrastructure scope in Welkom, Free State. You will oversee execution of road projects from planning to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality standards.

The role requires coordinating with engineers, contractors, surveyors, and clients, and may involve site visits and office work. Strong leadership, communication, and ECSA-registered credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• Professional registration with ECSA (Pr. Eng.) or commitment to achieve soon.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in managing civil infrastructure projects, especially roads and earthworks.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all phases of road and infrastructure projects, including planning, design review, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Develop detailed project schedules, manage timelines, and monitor progress against milestones.
• Oversee project budgets, control costs, and ensure efficient resource allocation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, surveyors, and site personnel.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, building codes, safety regulations, and environmental policies.

About the Role

Our client, a prominent civil engineering and construction company, is actively seeking a proactive and skilled Project Engineer to join their team in Welkom, Free State . • Experience working in the Free State province or similar challenging environments is a plus.
• Must be adaptable to a hybrid work model, balancing site visits with office-based responsibilities in Welkom.
