Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. seeks an experienced EHS leader to drive Health, Environment and Safety initiatives within its DCS/Silent-Aire manufacturing footprint. You will coach teams, implement EHS systems, and ensure regulatory compliance across the region.

You will lead incident investigations, KPI tracking, audits, and cross-functional training, partnering with leadership to embed a world-class safety culture and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree related to safety or environmental field.
• Minimum six years of EHS experience in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Experience building, managing and auditing EHS management systems.
• Knowledge of Workers Compensation and Return to Work programs.
• Strong leadership and presentation skills.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state/provincial or municipal EHS laws.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Foster a world class Health and Safety culture within manufacturing facilities.
• Advise on regulatory changes and investigate major incidents.
• Oversee EHS reporting and documentation for compliance.
• Lead training of employees on EHS policies and regulations.
• Establish corporate EHS policies and best practices with regional teams.
• Implement EHS Management System(s) across locations.
• Track local EHS KPIs and publish data for stakeholders.
• Manage Workers' Compensation claims and reporting.
• Lead near-miss and incident investigations.
• Audit EHS programs and develop action plans for improvements.
