Job summary

Johnson Controls in the United States is seeking an experienced EHS professional to lead safety, health, and environmental initiatives across our shop floors and facilities. You will implement audit-driven safety plans, train employees, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, while supporting continuous improvement and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or related field.
• Minimum of three years EHS experience in industrial/manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA laws and regulations.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of the EHS management system.
• Provide floor-level guidance on safe work practices.
• Ensure environmental compliance for waste, air and water programs.
• Conduct hazard identifications and risk assessments.
• Investigate incidents and determine root causes.
• Audit Health and Safety Management System.
• Coordinate employee safety training and orientations.
• Maintain safety training records.
• Coordinate with HR to correct unsafe behavior.
