Job summary

Anne Arundel County Government is seeking an Engineering and Site Development Reviewer (Engineer III) to support the Office of Inspections and Permits. The role involves reviewing site development, water and sewer, and stormwater plans to ensure compliance with codes and standards.

The Engineer III is a full performance level performing independent civil engineering tasks with minimal supervision, coordinating with planning and public works, and providing expert guidance as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in engineering or a related field.
• Experience: Four (4) or more years of experience in professional engineering work; and a valid non-commercial Class C motor vehicle operator's license.

Responsibilities

• Reviews road and storm drain plans, and water and sewer plans for permits and subdivisions.
• Reviews stormwater management plans, mitigation proposals, and downstream analyses for conformance to County, State, and Federal codes, standards, and regulations.
• Reviews Preliminary and Site Development Plans.
• Reviews subdivision plans and record plats.
• Reviews grading and building permits.
• Coordinates reviews with the Office of Planning and Zoning, Department of Public Works, and other county agencies.
