Job summary

Taleo seeks a Superintendent I in San Antonio, TX to lead day-to-day field operations on institutional and commercial construction projects. You will ensure work is performed safely, on time and in accordance with contract documents.

You will create look-ahead schedules, supervise field staff, coordinate with subcontractors, document quality and safety, and participate in pre-construction and client meetings. Some site travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising construction for commercial/institutional projects.
• Ability to develop and manage project look-ahead schedules.
• Demonstrated focus on safety, quality and contract compliance.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day field activities to meet milestone and schedule dates.
• Creating short-interval look-ahead project schedules and tracking progress.
• Maintaining a culture that values safety, health and cleanliness.
• Coordinating work to ensure compliance with contract documents and best practices.
• Managing and coordinating work for proper construction sequencing and quality.
• Verifying workmanship and managing field documentation including inspections.
• Administering contracts, subcontracts, purchases, and change management.
• Leading staff, training and mentoring to meet project needs.
• Attending pre-construction, progress, and client meetings.
