Job summary

Synthomer is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead field execution for capital and maintenance projects at the Jefferson Hills facility. You will oversee on-site construction, manage contractors, and coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, and Operations to ensure safe, compliant, and timely project delivery.

Responsibilities include scheduling, contractor coordination, risk mitigation, and successful turnover.

Qualifications

• Experience managing industrial construction projects within chemical manufacturing or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety programs, permit-to-work systems, and contractor management practices.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple contractors and cross-functional project teams.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily construction activities from mobilization to project completion.
• Monitor progress against schedule, scope and quality requirements.
• Coordinate and lead contractor activities and on-site field personnel.
• Resolve field issues and coordinate with stakeholders to maintain objectives.
• Oversee punch-list and turnover activities and ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
