Synthomer Jefferson Site in Jefferson Hills, PA is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to provide day-to-day support for safe, stable, and reliable manufacturing operations. You will monitor data, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements with cross-functional teams across SHES, maintenance, and product development.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering required.
• 7+ years of chemical engineering/relevant experience.
• Manufacturing environment with large, continuous chemical processing equipment.
• Ability to interface with operations and maintenance, and lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to analyze process data and determine root causes.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support to manufacturing units to ensure safe, stable, and reliable operations.
• Monitor operating data, perform analyses, and troubleshoot to meet operating plans.
• Review raw material quality data for product blends and ensure specifications.
• Lead process improvements using Management of Change processes.
• Develop and review procedures and provide operator training as needed.
• Lead incident investigations into process and equipment failures.
• Interface with SHES, Product Development, Maintenance, and Process Improvement to prioritize projects.
• Mentor and support junior production engineers to develop their skills.
