Job summary

Synthomer plc is seeking a Quality Manager in Jefferson Hills to lead the Quality Management System and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. You will manage quality personnel, coordinate with the technology team, and ensure adherence to global QMS processes to deliver high customer satisfaction.

You will oversee routine product testing, audits, and process improvements while collaborating with regional teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Engineering, Chemistry or Polymer Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of chemical plant manufacturing experience.
• Experience with ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Plant Leadership Team with strategic guidance on QMS.
• Routine intermediate and finished product testing.
• Lead analytical and shift labs at the site.
• Develop systems and teams to continuously improve the QMS.
• Support ISO 9001 certification and internal audits.
• Lead audits and liaise with auditors.
• Drive quality improvements to achieve customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with technology team on product and process improvements.
