Job summary

AbbVie in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Site Communications & Engagement Lead to own and deliver site-level communications and lead engagement and CSR strategy for local events and initiatives. The role collaborates with local leaders, employee groups, HR, and Global Operations Communications to drive best-in-class communications that enable AbbVie's success and foster a culture of growth and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of progressive experience in communications and employee engagement.
• Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, business, organizational development, or a related field.
• Experience supporting leaders with executive messaging, employee updates, event communications, talking points, presentations, FAQs, and communications plans.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing/life sciences environment with ability to communicate complex topics clearly.
• Hands-on experience managing communications across multiple channels (SharePoint, intranet, newsletters, digital signage, town halls).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a future-ready communications strategy for the site.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver a calendar of engagement activities aligned with business plans.
• Support Site Head and Leadership with clear stakeholder communications.
• Partner with HR on employee communications to foster a culture of growth and collaboration.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Provide ad hoc change communications advice to the business.
• Develop effective channels for two-way information sharing.
• Track and measure the effectiveness of plans.
• Coach internal stakeholders in communications.
• Serve as contact for Operations Communications on media engagement and crisis.
