Job summary

Woodard & Curran in Portland, ME seeks a detail-oriented civil engineer to support site-civil projects. You will work with client and project managers on site development, stormwater and utility projects, in a collaborative, employee-owned culture.

Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office with travel up to 25% to Northern Maine, NH, and MA. Requires BS in Civil Engineering, 5–9 years site-civil experience, PE preferred, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil3D and HydroCAD.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering
• 5–9 years of site-civil experience
• Licensed Professional Engineer in any state preferred
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D and HydroCAD preferred

Responsibilities

• Site design, site grading, erosion & sediment control, and stormwater management design.
• Collaborate with designers to develop design plans.
• Prepare local, state, and federal permit application packages.
• Prepare specifications for projects.
• Support construction administration activities.
• Communicate with clients and regulatory authorities.
• Mentor and delegate to staff engineers.
• Manage project tasks and ensure quality control processes.
