Job summary

Woodard & Curran Inc. seeks a detail-oriented civil engineer to support site-civil projects, based in our Portland, ME office. You will collaborate with project managers on site development, utility, and stormwater projects, supporting clients and regulatory agencies, while mentoring junior staff.

The role requires a BS in Civil Engineering and 5–9 years of site-civil experience, with PE license preferred. AutoCAD, Civil3D, and HydroCAD proficiency are desired; the position offers a flexible

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5-9 years’ experience with site-civil-related projects.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in any State preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and HydroCAD software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Site design, site grading, erosion & sediment control, and stormwater management design.
• Working with designers to develop design plans.
• Preparing local, state, and federal permit application packages.
• Preparing specifications.
• Construction administration.
• Technical writing and communications with clients and regulatory authorities.
• Mentoring and delegating to staff-level engineers.
• Delegating and managing project tasks to staff while overseeing total project delivery.
• Enforcing and applying quality assurance and quality control processes.
