Job summary

Acorn Engineering, Inc., a Maine-based firm, is seeking a Project Engineer in its Kingfield office. The role offers hybrid work with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, and involves a diverse project portfolio across Western Maine.

The successful candidate will participate throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and design to permitting and construction, collaborating with multiple disciplines and office locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 2-6 years’ experience with design, permitting and construction administration for various site design projects within Maine
• Strong technical and engineering design skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D & HydroCAD
• Understanding of Local, Maine and Federal permitting regulations and applications
• Experience with stormwater treatment design
• EI Certification required. Candidates actively pursuing PE licensure are strongly encouraged to apply.
