Job summary

FINITETEK INC in Maine seeks a Civil Engineer - Project Manager to lead site/civil engineering and land development projects from concept to construction. You will serve as the primary client contact with municipalities and regulatory agencies, guiding multidisciplinary teams.

We value solid site design, strong communication, and project ownership. The role supports a hybrid schedule with some remote work and travel to client sites and public meetings; Maine PE license preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering preferred.
  • 4–8 years of relevant site/civil engineering experience with strong site design skills.
  • Maine Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Experience with local and state permitting requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with AutoCAD; HydroCAD preferred.
  • Travel to client sites and attendance at town and city public meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead site/civil engineering projects from concept through design, permitting, and construction.
  • Prepare site designs, including grading, layout, utilities, and erosion & sediment control plans.
  • Design stormwater management systems.
  • Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams on land development, stormwater management, and utility design.
  • Develop project scopes, contracts, and budgets.
  • Attend field meetings, site visits, and Town/City public meetings.
  • Build and maintain relationships with municipal staff and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare reports and local/state permit applications.
  • Contribute to business development and client relationship efforts.

We’re looking for a Civil Engineer - Project Manager to join our Civil team.
  • This role expands our project management capacity across a variety of site/civil engineering and land development projects for public and private clients, often involving multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Typical project types include multifamily housing, single-family subdivisions, commercial, industrial, stormwater retrofit, and mixed-use residential development.
  • This position is a great fit for a civil engineer with solid site design experience who likes owning projects from initial concept through permitting and into construction support.
  • The Project Manager will lead technical design efforts and serve as the primary point of contact for clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies throughout the life of a project.
