Job summary

Langan is seeking an Intern/Co-op - Site/Civil Engineering to join its Boston team. This role supports site feasibility studies, field work, technical report preparation, calculations, and design plans, offering hands-on experience with industry leadership on land development projects.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Civil Engineering degree, with preference for juniors/seniors or MS students. Travel may be required; housing/relocation assistance is not provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Civil Engineering; GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical, multitasking, and judgement capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Travel may be required based on business needs and project assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and modify engineering documents including reports, specifications, plans, schedules, cost estimates.
• Use reports, maps, drawings, and plans to assess soil, terrain, hydrology, topography and geology impacts.
• Support zoning, ordinance and permit assessments and sidewalk estimations.
• Provide field inspection services as needed.
• Apply knowledge and techniques of engineering and advanced mathematics.
• Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.
• Perform other duties as requested.
