Job summary

Langan is seeking an Intern/Co-op – Site/Civil Engineering to join its collaborative team in San Francisco, CA. The role supports site feasibility studies, field work, report prep and design documentation for land development projects.

You will work with industry leadership, expanding technical knowledge and professional growth through hands-on experience on a variety of projects. Travel may be required per business needs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four year civil engineering degree; GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical, multitasking and judgment abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil engineering and land development projects.
• Assist with preparation and modification of reports, plans, specs, and schedules using AutoCAD/Civil 3D and other software.
• Assess soil, terrain, hydrological and topographical data for planning and design.
• Support zoning, permit assessments, sidewalk estimates, and feasibility analyses.
• Provide field inspection services as needed.
• Apply engineering knowledge and advanced math to project tasks.
• Collaborate with team members on project assignments.
• Perform other duties as requested.
