Job summary

You will work closely with senior engineers, gaining hands-on experience in planning, design and permitting while building technical skills in AutoCAD/Civil 3D and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Civil Engineering.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater preferred.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with analytical and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, design and permitting of civil engineering and land development projects.
• Prepare and modify reports, specifications, plans, schedules, cost estimates and design plans using AutoCAD/Civil 3D and related software.
• Assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological data and topography for planning and design.
• Support zoning, ordinance and permit assessments and feasibility studies.
• Provide field inspection services as needed.
• Apply engineering knowledge and advanced mathematics to project tasks.
• Collaborate with team members on assignments and contribute to project success.
• Perform other duties as requested.
