Gateway Engineers, Inc. is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer in the Pittsburgh area. The ideal candidate will have an EIT (PE preferred) and 8+ years of experience, with expertise in land development, water resources, and utility design.

8+ years of experience expected.
Engineer-In-Training (EIT) required; P.E. preferred.

Responsibilities

Coordinate projects with clients, contractors, and staff.
Perform engineering calculations and create construction drawings with specs.
Assist in preparation and QC of plans, specs, and permit apps.
Provide technical information to Project Manager for specs.
Draft plans using CADD software.
Visit project sites to review conditions.
Maintain compliance with codes and regulations.
Represent the company at meetings and public hearings.

This position is full-time in person. E.I.T. or P.E. license required. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience. Civil Engineer Responsibilities

The Civil Engineer position will coordinate projects with clients, contractors, outside consultants, and firm staff.
Perform engineering calculations and design using specialized technical skills, experience, and engineering judgement to transform concept designs into construction drawings and technical specifications for public and private projects.
Assist in the preparation and quality control of plans, specifications, supporting documents, and permit applications for projects.
Provide project specific technical information to the Project Manager for incorporation into the project specifications.
Perform plan drafting using CADD software.
Visit project sites to review conditions as appropriate.
Maintain and comply with state, federal, and local rules and codes.
Maintain positive relationships with both internal and external clients.
Serve as a representative of the Company at meetings, presentations, and public hearings/reviews relative to assigned projects.
