Job summary

Us Titan in Pittsburgh seeks a Civil Project Engineer to join a diverse team of Civil Engineers, Project Managers, and drafting technicians. You will work on residential and commercial land development projects, design stormwater management, and plan erosion and sedimentation control.

The role requires taking projects from concept to completion with collaboration across disciplines, managing budgets and schedules, and supporting client relationships and business development.

Qualifications

• Must have Civil land development experience.
• Professional Engineer’s License (PE) is preferred, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on moderately complex projects.
• Take a project from concept to final completion with occasional supervision.
• Work closely with senior staff members to gain project management experience.
• Monitor project budget and schedule, understanding basic financial terms and concepts of profitability.
• Plan, schedule and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work with clients, contractors, and project team members.
• May make design recommendations, adaptations, and modifications with guidance from senior staff members.
• Prepare reports and correspondence related to assigned projects.
• Prospect, develop, and maintain client relationships.
• Participate in business development and customer service whenever possible.
• Strive to make each project profitable.

Civil Project Engineer

Scope

Seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join a diverse, experienced group of Civil Engineers, Project Managers, and drafting technicians to complete residential and commercial land development projects, design stormwater management, and plan erosion & sedimentation control. This is a direct-hire position with our Client Partner.

DUTIES

• Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on moderately complex projects
• Possess the ability to take a project from concept to final completion with occasional supervision
• Work closely with senior staff members to gain project management experience
• Monitor project budget and schedule, understanding basic financial terms and concepts of profitability
• Plan, schedule and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work with clients, contractors, and project team members
• May make design recommendations, adaptations, and modifications with guidance from senior staff members

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Experience

• 4 years of relevant progressive experience
• Post-graduate degree in engineering may substitute for one year of experience

Additional Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle
• Must possess advanced reading, writing, and math skills
• Must be comfortable communicating with the public
• Must possess intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs, and the ability to learn company/client software
• Must be available to work in all types of indoor and outdoor environments

Salary will depend on experience
