Job summary
Edison Smart® is seeking a Controls Engineer for our automated facility in Miami. The role centers on maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading existing automation systems to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
You will work with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs, sensors, VFDs, and HMI/SCADA systems, coordinating with engineers, vendors, and integrators. The ideal candidate has hands-on troubleshooting experience, strong electrical schematic reading, and familiarity with industrial networks.
Qualifications
- 1–5+ years' Controls/Automation experience.
- Strong Rockwell/Allen-Bradley PLC knowledge.
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Experience with industrial communication networks.
- Material handling, conveyor, warehouse automation or robotics experience would be beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and maintaining Allen-Bradley / Rockwell PLC systems.
- Carrying out system health checks and identifying recurring faults.
- Supporting upgrades and modifications to existing automation equipment.
- Troubleshooting sensors, VFDs, control panels and electrical systems.
- Supporting HMI/SCADA systems and controls integration.
- Working with internal engineers, vendors and system integrators.
- Improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime.
