Job summary

Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency is seeking a Site Assistant to provide direct housing and sheltering support at ARCHES Project sites in Polk and Marion counties. You will assist clients, perform clerical tasks, data entry, and coordinate navigation to resources.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 2 years of social services experience, and basic computer skills. You will work a swing shift Friday to Tuesday or Sunday to Thursday, with on-site duties and opportunities

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of social services experience with families preferred.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
• BLS/First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Food Handler's Card required within 30 days.
• Candidate must pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.
• Background screenings as required by MWVCAA and ODHS.

Responsibilities

• Provides program support such as cleaning, site upkeep, laundry, and supportive services.
• Provides client engagement and assistance, including answering the telephone and monitoring client and facility safety.
• Facilitates access to guest onsite services.
• Employs de‑escalation techniques and makes quick decisions in response to incidents.
• Provides supportive services for ARCHES Project programs.
• Performs data entry for clients and follow‑ups; helps clients navigate resources.
• Attends required annual trainings.
• Cleans, janitorial, and laundry tasks to support daily operations.
• Supports nutrition staff with kitchen tasks as needed.
• Participates in community outreach and collaborations as directed by supervisor.
• Maintains professional boundaries with clients and coworkers.
