Job summary

Public Consulting Group LLC (PCG) in Virginia seeks an IDS assessor to conduct SIS-A/SIS-C assessments for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role requires AAIDD training and attendance at IRQR sessions, with hybrid work and occasional overnight travel.

Ideal candidates have IDD experience, familiarity with person-centered practices, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with teams while maintaining client confidentiality and PHI protection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human service-related field such as Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Sociology is required.
• At least one year of experience with individuals who have IDD is required or preferred.
• Experience with SIS assessments and behavior rating or psych testing principles is valued.
• Knowledge of Home and Community Based Services waivers is preferred.
• Must have broadband internet, ability to travel, valid license, and confidential home workspace.

Responsibilities

• Clearly communicate purpose and reason for assessment to individuals and respondents.
• Foster positive relationships and liaise with internal and external customers.
• Conduct assessments timely and document information consistently.
• Represent PCG professionally and adhere to contractual responsibilities.
