Job summary

Public Consulting Group LLC (PCG) seeks a highly motivated IDD SIS needs assessor in Virginia. Responsibilities include SIS-A and SIS-C assessments, AAIDD training, and working in a hybrid setting with potential travel. Requires a human services background and strong communication skills.

The role emphasizes professional collaboration with providers, case managers, and family members, with a focus on person-centered practices and confidentiality of PHI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
• At least 1 year experience with individuals with IDD.
• Experience conducting individual assessments with knowledge of behavior rating or psychological testing principles.
• Knowledge of person-centeredness.
• Prior SIS assessment experience preferred.
• Experience with Home and Community Based Services waivers preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, behavioral support and Virginia waiver programs desired.
• Strong clinical/social assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Clearly communicate purpose and reason for assessment to individual and other respondents.
• Foster positive relationships and act as liaison with internal and external customers to ensure effective working relationships.
• Conduct assessments timely and professionally.
• Document assessment information consistently.
• Represent PCG and the client in a professional manner.
