Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a self-driven Silicon Photonics (SiPh) Test Engineer to support high-speed PIC test solutions in our state-of-the-art SiPh Lab in Essex Junction. You will provide technician support for wafer and module tests and collaborate across internal teams to ensure smooth operations.

Ideal candidates have a degree in electrical engineering, hands-on debugging skills, experience with photonic tools, and a track record of bringing development solutions into manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on engineering with excellent debugging skills.
• Familiarity with photonic tools like lasers and optical power meters.
• 2+ years calibration and de-embedding for EE/EO/OE measurements.
• 2+ years bringing development solutions into manufacturing (HVM).
• 4+ years MS Office and diagnostic software experience.
• Fluent in English; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technician support to wafer and module level SiPh test solutions.
• Interface with internal teams to maintain and develop lab processes.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration for efficient SiPh operations.
• Maintain safety and environmental compliance in the lab.
• Support remote work flexibility as part of the lab operations.
