Job summary

GlobalFoundries inc. in Essex Junction, VT, is seeking a self-driven Test Engineer to support the development of leading-edge silicon photonics test solutions for data center and HPC markets.

You will join GF’s state-of-the-art SiPh Lab, working with GF proprietary and ATE tools, interfacing with internal teams to keep silicon moving, and driving safe, efficient operations through cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong hands-on engineering with debugging skills.
• Familiarity with photonic tools: LASERs, optical power meters, polarizers, fibers.
• 2+ years in calibration and de-embedding for EE/EO/OE measurements.
• 4+ years bringing development solutions into manufacturing (HVM).
• Proficient in MS Office and diagnostic software.
• English language fluency.
• Project management and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technician support to wafer & module level SiPh test solutions.
• Interface with internal teams to deliver silicon to and from the SiPh Lab.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Procurement, Logistics, and Safety.
• Ensure safe operations and compliance with EH&S requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of test floor processes.
