GlobalFoundries seeks a leader in silicon photonics device simulation, design, fabrication and test to coordinate qualifications across integration, reliability, modeling and test teams. You will support customers and guide solutions to debug root causes of technology vs. design challenges.

The role requires BS and above in Electrical/Optical Engineering or related field, with extensive photonics experience and strong communication. Travel to GF facilities is <10%.

Qualifikationen

• BS in Electrical/Optical Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
• Advanced photonic device design, integration, test and/or packaging experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration across multiple locations.

Aufgaben

• Lead development of passive and active silicon photonics device components to meet customer and technology requirements.
• Simulate, design and coordinate testing of new silicon photonic devices.
• Plan, coordinate, and document qualification of new photonic devices.
• Identify issues, formulate experiments to uncover root causes and improve processes.
• Interface with customers to evaluate solutions and debug technology vs. design challenges.
• Travel <10% to other GF facilities as needed.
