Job summary

Galen College of Nursing in Draper, UT is seeking a Simulation Technician to support and enhance simulation experiences for learners in collaboration with program faculty to ensure quality outcomes.

You will set up and operate audiovisual and IT equipment, maintain simulators and task trainers, and provide troubleshooting and documentation to support a safe, effective learning environment consistent with adult learning principles.

Qualifications

• Mandatory technical diploma or associate degree from an accredited institution.
• Affinity for a technical role (IT, A/V, electronics/ computer hardware).
• Effective written and oral communication skills; ability to work with diverse groups; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of common audio-visual and IT hardware/software.
• Provide general technical support and troubleshooting for AV/IT systems.
• Set up, operate, and store audiovisual and IT equipment.
• Operate and maintain simulators, task trainers and other simulation equipment.
• Support simulation center users with instructional media and equipment.
• Contribute to simulation equipment documentation.
• Prepare simulation environments to reflect clinical settings.
