Job summary

Galen College of Nursing is seeking a Simulation Technician to support and enhance simulation experiences across programs, aligning with CSLOs. You will work with faculty to ensure quality outcomes and maintain simulation equipment.

The role focuses on operating and troubleshooting AV/IT systems, maintaining simulators, and preparing environments that reflect real clinical settings. Collaboration and attention to detail are essential to support student learning.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or associate degree from an accredited institution required.
• Affinity for a technical role (IT, A/V, Electronics/Computer building).
• Basic understanding of human anatomy and physiology or enroll in course upon hire.
• Effective written and oral communication; ability to work with diverse groups.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of AV and IT hardware and software.
• Provide general technical support and troubleshooting for the AV and IT system.
• Set up, operate, store audiovisual and IT equipment.
• Set up, operate, store, maintain, and repair simulators and other simulation equipment.
• Support Simulation Center users in the use of instructional media and equipment.
